Companies more and more often feel their employees would benefit from speech coaching. We can help improve confidence, clarity, presentation skills, team building, storytelling dynamics, phone/video conferencing proficiency, and more. Our dynamic seminars are an opportunity for your employees to dramatically transform their communication skills in only few hours. Seminars can be conducted for 3-100 individuals at once, and are usually performed in 3 hour increments.
These primarily take place at the office, but can be conducted at conventions or at offsite retreats. Our seminars involve company members’ participation and we enhance their voices on the spot. Each seminar balances group exercises and individual attention. There is a mix of energizing fun and pragmatic hard work, getting employees out of their comfort zone in a supportive environment. We utilize concepts from traditional presentation skills to long-form improvisational comedy to singing in order to illuminate for the group the relationship between mind and voice/body.
The seminars enable us to engage in “high-altitude” training, in which we demonstrate exercises specially designed to make real-life presentations seem easy by comparison. Participants leave the course with an understanding of which behaviors may have unknowingly been contributing to their anxiety and lowered credibility, as well as a plan for replacing those with physical manifestations of confidence. The praise for these seminars has been universal, and we consistently receive comments that the experience has been completely unlike and superior to previous presentation skills seminars.
If you have a handful of employees you think might benefit from this type of training, we can travel to your office and design a program specifically for their needs over the course of a few weeks or months.
People learn a great deal from observing one another, and a group atmosphere creates a sense of encouragement and accountability. Group lessons are usually conducted with 3-8 people. These can be ongoing, 1.5 or 2 hour lessons, in which we are able to provide a great deal of individual attention to those who need it most.
If a member or your company wants one-on-one attention, we offer private training at our studio or your office.
Seminars are commonly performed in three hour increments. One three-hour session is sufficient to expose a group to the basics. If a topic requires additional attention, more time can be allotted. Some would prefer, for example, to do a two-hour session before lunch, and an additional two-hour session in the afternoon. This is perfectly fine, and we can absolutely tailor-make the length of the seminar(s) based on your needs.
All kinds! The most substantial part of our client base is comprised of groups from the financial industry: banks, hedge funds, wealth management firms, private equity, etc. We also do a significant amount of work with those in media, tech, business, and law. Any company that has meetings (client or internal), presentations, phone conferences, or interviews will find the training worthwhile.
Yes. Our instructors travel to your office or location of your choosing for seminars and group classes.
The rates will vary depending on length of seminar, number of attendees, and location. If interested, please inquire with firstname.lastname@example.org with a general outline of your interests, and we will be happy to get back to you with a phone consultation and quote.
There is a $500 nonrefundable deposit due upon booking to confirm the selected date. If the deposit is not received by two weeks prior, the date will be released. If given two weeks notice, the deposit can be transferred to a rescheduled date (within two months of the original date) one time. If within two weeks, the date may not be rescheduled. Rescheduling a seminar may only occur once before the deposit is forfeited.

Our first day in the new studio will be Monday, July 17th, 2017. All in-person lessons with NYSC Associates will take place at our new facility starting July 17th, 2017. We look forward to sharing this new era of Vocal Joy with you!
